Queen of Sheba was established in the 1990’s as a business concept that would develop and introduce Ethiopian products in the United States market.

In 1996 we inaugurated our Queen of Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant. In its first year, the restaurant earned 3-½ stars. By 1997 Queen of Sheba Restaurant had become one of the best restaurants in Portland. Most of our products and ingredients are directly imported from Ethiopia. Through this restaurant corridor, we have been able to introduce our varied exotic flavors of spices, tea, coffee, grains, and legumes. We believe that we have built quit a large base of clients that love our products.

Thanks to The Oregonian Restaurant Review, Willamette Week, City Search, and others, including word of mouth from our customers that has extended our name beyond the market we can reach as a restaurant.
